Unwanted Items

Our 30 day money back guarantee means that you can send your goods back for a refund if you change your mind about your purchase. Please look after the item while it is in your care as we will only be able to issue refunds for items returned in mint resalable condition. You are welcome to very carefully take the goods out of the box and inspect them, but goods that have been taken outside and installed cannot be accepted back as unwanted. Please see our Returns Procedure below to return your item. Please note that Maxlumen does not offer a collection service and we do not offer to cover returns postage costs for unwanted items.

Damaged Items or Missing Parts

Please check your goods as soon as you receive them, even if you do not intend to use them immediately. If your goods arrive damaged or there are missing parts please contact us within 7 days of receipt of your order.

Wrong Item Received

In the unlikely event that we send you out the wrong item please email [email protected] right away to request a return code. Please note that Maxlumen does not offer a collection service so we will ask you to cover the cost of sending the item back to us initially, but this will be refunded to you once it has been received by us. Please look after the item while it is in your care as we will only be able to issue refunds for items returned in a resalable condition. Please see our Returns Procedure below to return your item.

Faulty Items

If your item develops a fault within 30 days of your purchase date you are entitled to a full refund or to have the item repaired or replaced. Items that develop a fault after 30 days of your purchase date will be repaired or replaced. In the unlikely event that your item is faulty, please email [email protected] to request a returns code. Please note that we do not offer a collection service so we will ask you to cover the cost of the cost of sending the item back to us initially, but this will be refunded to you once it has been received by us. Please see our Returns Procedure below to return your item.

Returns Procedure

All returns need to be handled via email. Please email [email protected] to let us know that you intend to return an item. We will reply to issue a Returns Code – please ensure you receive this code before returning an item to avoid delays in the process. Please quote your original order ID number in all communication with us. If you have lost your Order ID please ensure you include your full name, address, contact number and details of the item in question. Once you have your Return Code simply write it down on a piece of paper and place it inside the box as well as writing it on the outside of the box, there is no need to include any other paper work. Please note that our returns codes are only valid for 14 days from the date they were issued which gives you ample time to return the item(s) to us. Goods returned after this 14 day period will be dealt with on a case by case basis.

Posting Items Back To Us

Please note that we do not take responsibility for items that go missing in the post if you have no Proof of Postage or tracking details for the item(s) you returned so we always advise on using a tracked service. If you plan to use Royal Mail you can ask for a free proof of posting for the item you are returning to us, but we may ask you to send your item back using a fully tracked service such as Royal Mail Signed For 2nd Class instead. If you send your order back to us using premium postal services such as a courier, or Special Delivery without us having requested this on email, we will only refund part of your return postage cost which will be no more than the standard 2nd class rate for your package. Please contact us to agree a posting service before posting your item.

Returning Without Using A Returns Code

Please note that if you send an item back without contacting us first to obtain a Return Code we will not be able to take responsibility for your return. If we do receive your item without a returns code the return process can be delayed by up to 30 working days during busy periods. Maxlumen will not refund return postage costs on items sent back without a code.
